The Friends of the NSO is the orchestra support group. The Friends’ volunteers provide:

Refreshments for the audience and musicians

Ushering and greeting at concerts, aid box office duties

Community and fundraising special events, working with the NSO Board
Annual dues are only $20 for individuals or $35 per family. We appreciate your volunteer time, as well, if you can!

Support the Newark Symphony Orchestra
A major portion (±40%) of NSO funding is donated by individual members of our community. Your generosity enables the NSO to keep performances economically accessible, and in particular, accessible to the youths in our community. Our annual Betsy L Kent Concerto Competition provides opportunities for aspiring young musicians in our communities to perform with a full orchestra in front of a large audience and be appreciated by our patrons for their beautiful music.
