Where can I purchase NSO tickets?

You can purchase tickets online through our online box office. Look for the green button to purchase Season Tickets.Save $5 per ticket when you purchase them online up until the day of concert.Please RSVP for our free concerts to help us keep an attendance record which we use when applying for grants. (Full season ticket holders will automatically have the RSVP.)

Will I get a paper ticket for the concert?

No; we have moved to a digital-only ticketing system, which simplifies ticket purchase and delivery and reduces printing costs. When you purchase tickets online, you will receive an email confirmation with a QR code, and a reminder email with that ticket information the day before the concert.When you arrive at the concert venue, we will scan your code in lieu of a paper ticket.

No; seats are selected by our attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive with enough time to find a good seat.

A large portion (±40%) of NSO funding is donated by individual members of our community. Your generosity enables the NSO to keep performances economically accessible, and in particular, accessible to the youths in our community. Our annual Betsy L Kent Concerto Competition provides opportunities for aspiring young musicians in our communities to perform with a full orchestra in front of a large audience and be appreciated by our patrons for their beautiful music.

Instruments in the Attic

Instruments in the Attic solicits donations of instruments from our patrons; we refurbish and grant these instruments to middle and high school students who are ready to advance their musical education.

Named after our dear friend and colleague, the competition awards a prize and the opportunity to perform with the Newark Symphony Orchestra in our Spring Concert.
