Newark Symphony Society

The Newark Symphony Society (NSS) is the
Orchestra support group, providing assistance throughout the
season.
Our volunteers serve as ushers, provide refreshments at concert
intermissions, offer hospitality for NSO guest artists and conductors,
and raise needed funds. NSS helps
keep the Orchestra a vital part of the Newark area community Over the
past two years more than $21,000 has been contributed to the
Orchestra.
Major events include a Wine and Cheese social to kick off the NSO
season, and the annual MOSIAC gala supporting the
Newark arts organizations

season, the gala will be held on November 7. The theme is The Roaring
Twenties. We will most likely have another fund raiser to be
announced. Occasional events have included Wine and Art Auctions and
Garage Sales.
The current Symphony Society president is Rodelle Weintraub. NSS had
117 members during the 2008-09 season.
Persons interested in joining the Society may do so by writing to
N.S.S., P.O. Box 5735, Newark, DE 19714. Annual dues are only $15.00
for an individual or $25.00 for a family. Join to become a part of the Newark
arts scene and support your community Orchestra.
