Maestro Pawlowski has been Music Director of the Newark Symphony since
1983. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia Musical Academy (now the
University of the Arts) and the University of Pennsylvania, with
degrees in composition and conducting, and he also pursued doctoral
studies at Temple University. While a student, he spent a summer at the
Domaine School for Conductors with Pierre Monteux and another at
Tanglewood with Max Rudolph and Erich Leinsdorf. He currently presents
more than 25 concerts a season, conducting the
Delaware County Symphony
and the
Immaculata Symphony
in Pennsylvania as well as the NSO.
