2006 Mildred Gaddis Competition For Young Musicians - High School Division Winner, violin

Sixteen year-old Eric began studying violin at the age of four as a student of Louis Jaffe. He has studied with Lee Snyder at the Settlement Music School since 1997, where he also plays with the Myer Schwartz Advanced Study Piano Trio. Eric made is first appearance as a soloist with a professional orchestra in 2001, with the Ocean City (NJ) Pops, playing Mozart's Violin concerto No. 3. He is in the 11th grade at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr (PA). When not playing violin, he enjoys Shakespearean acting, computers, and playing squash.
