Rachel Maclary, flute
Youth Concerto Competition Winner, High School Division

Rachel Maclary has been a student of Dr. Lynne Cooksey at the Wilmington Music School for 13 years. She is a member of the Delaware County Youth Orchestra and the Newark High School Wind Ensemble. She has been a member of Delaware All State Band (2000-2005) and All State Orchestra (2003-2005). Recent awards include: Delaware All State Senior Solo Competition winner (2005); 2nd runner-up, Delaware Symphony Concerto Competition (2004 & 2005); Eastern Region winner, MTNA HS woodwind competition (2004/05); Delaware Governor's School for Excellence (2003); Delaware and Eastern region winner and National Finalist, MTNA Junior High Woodwind Competition (2001, 2002). Rachel attended the Tanglewood Institute for the flute workshop (2003) and wind ensemble (2004), and was a member of the National High School Flute Choir at the NFA conventions in 2002 & 2004. Additional studies include master class performances for Julius Baker, Gary Schocker, Bradley Garner, Jeffrey Kahner, Mimi Stillman and Toshio Takahashi.
