Ardath Belzer received her training at the New School of Music, where she was a student of Max
Aronoff. The conservatory having no electives for a Bachelor's degree, she studied her academic
course work at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she continued her viola studies
with Kim Kashkashian, Karen Tuttle and Leonard Mogill. During her summers, she has attended the
Aspen Music Festival, the American Institute of Music in Graz, Austria, and the Lake Placid
Sinfonietta.
A finalist in major orchestra auditions, Ms. Belzer is assistant principal of the Delaware Symphony and principal of the Reading, Kennett and Lancaster Symphonies. She also plays opera with the New Jersey Opera Theater and OperaDelaware. she has soloed with the Kennett and Lancaster Symphonies.
Ms. Belzer teaches privately and at Immaculata University. She lives in Berwyn, PA with her husband Terry, an oboist, and her two children, Anton and Brigitte, ages nine and five, both violinists.
