Directions to The Independence School
1300 Paper Mill Road, Newark

From Route 95 in Delaware:

• Exit 3 for Route 273 West towards Newark, 3 miles to traffic light at Route 72/Library Avenue. Stay on Rt. 273 West, which becomes one-way westbound at that light, and name changes to Main St.
• Get in the right lane on Main Street. After one-way begins, turn right at the third traffic light onto Chapel Street northbound.
• Chapel Street becomes Paper Mill Road after you go under the RR bridge.
• Go north/northeast on Paper Mill Road a total of just over 5 miles, passing Possum Park Road after 2 miles from Main St. and Corner Ketch Road/Polly Drummond Road after 4.5 miles from Main St.
• Turn right at the traffic light into Independence School.
  (If you come to Route 7/Limestone Road, you've gone too far.)

From Route7/Limestone Road:

• Paper Mill Road dead ends at Limestone Road.
• From Limestone Road, turn west/southwest on Paper Mill Rd.
• Go ¾ mile to traffic light. Turn left into Independence School.
